<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a very small and thin pump device having pumping action of gas or liquid so that the device is suitable for cooling pump device or the like of an electronics device. <P>SOLUTION: In the electromagnetic pump, both end faces of a cylinder is closed by a pair of frame bodies 20a, 20b. In the cylinder, needles 10 in which pump chambers 30a, 30b are formed between end faces of frame bodies 20a, 20b to have electromagnetic bodies to be slidable, are provided. Air-core electromagnetic coils 50a, 50b are disposed to surround an outer circumference of the cylinder, and current passes through the electromagnetic coils 50a, 50b to reciprocate and drive the needles 10 in an axial direction of the cylinder, so as to transport fluid. Suction valves 34a, 34b for making the pump chambers 30a, 30b communicate to the outside, and discharge valves 36a, 36b are disposed in end face areas of the cylinder of the frame bodies 20a, 20b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
