PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress production of a linear flaw due to a step difference at joints of images by an amplitude waveform distortion caused at joints of divided image areas. SOLUTION: A solid-state imaging apparatus having a plurality of pixel division areas and a means for reading pixel signals transferred through electric charge transmission paths provided for the every pixel division area, includes: white level signal detection means 21, 22, 28, 29 for using a signal value in a shade state during a one-unit read period in each of the pixel division areas for a reference signal and detecting a white level signal obtained by measuring a white chart; correction circuits 23, 30 for correcting an image signal when the white level signals detected by the white level signal means are close to each other at a plurality of points of time during the one-unit read period; and an image compositing circuit for compositing the images of the pixel division areas on the basis of the image signal after the correction.
