PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block for performing efficient laying work and providing the laying pattern of a joint pattern having an excellent design property. SOLUTION: Projecting parts 33, 34 are formed by protruding from side faces 15 to 20 of a block body 12 formed into a substantially deformed hexagonal shape. The projecting parts 33, 34 of the same number are formed on the side faces 15, 16, side faces 17, 18, and side faces 19, 20 corresponding to two adjacent sides using corners 21, 23 and 25 where an internal angleθforms 120 degrees as a boundary, respectively. For this reason, it is possible to determine opposing faces of the other opposing blocks by merely counting the number of the projecting parts 33, 34 when laying the block 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
