PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine that unerringly prevents a game ball shooting error (inability) involving a lag in the synchronization of a lifter with a shooter. SOLUTION: The pinball game machine 2 has a ball storage section 203 storing game balls, a game ball lifter 400 and a shooter 500. The lifter has a lifting member 403, a lifting driving section 410 and a lifting member reference position detection means 440. The shooter has a shooting member 503 to shoot game balls, a shooting driving section 511 and a shooting member reference position detection means 450. The machine has a driving control means 291, detecting the reference position of the lifting member and the reference position of the shooting member on the basis of the turning on of the power, stopping the lifting member and the shooting member in the reference positions and then driving and controlling the lifting member and the shooting member by the lifting driving section and the shooting driving section in response to a prescribed shooting operation to ensure that the lifting of game balls to the shooting position by the lifting member synchronizes with the shooting by the shooting member.
