PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily use a light receiving element with high gain used with an optical pickup of a non-polarizing optical system for even an optical pickup of a polarizing optical system.

SOLUTION: Reflection light from an optical disk 10 is introduced to the light receiving element 13 through a detection lens 15 of an optical element. In the case, an optical absorbing film 25 absorbing light is stuck on the detection lens, and a light amount incident on the light receiving element is attenuated.
