<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a channel search device which can search a channel in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: A channel search device has a quasi-synchronous orthogonal detecting means (101) outputting an I-axis and a Q-axis signals obtained by performing a quasi-synchronous orthogonal detection to a PSK modulation signal based on a carrier frequency setting value, a timing reproduction means (103) reproducing and outputting the I-axis signal and the Q-axis signals while an error of a symbol rate setting value is being corrected, and a dispersion detecting means (105) detecting dispersion between an amplitude of a symbol composed of the I-axis signal and the Q-axis signals, and a reference amplitude. The dispersion is monitored while the carrier frequency setting value and the symbol rate setting value are varied, and it is determined that a channel of the symbol rate setting value at that time exists at a position of the carrier frequency setting value when the dispersion detected by the dispersion detecting means has an extreme value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
