PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved system storing data in a storage system. SOLUTION: This virtual storage system 10 is provided with a physical storage space 24 constructed for storing data, a virtual storage space 22 adjusted for offering expression of the data stored in the physical storage space 24 to a host 20, a memory 18 constructed for storing a plurality of pointers 34 used for mounting address assignment between the physical storage space 24 and the virtual storage space 22, and a controller extracting a selected pointer 34 from the memory 18, offering the selected pointer to another storage position different from the memory 18, extracting the selected pointer from the different storage position, and offering the selected pointer 34 to the memory 18 in second timing after first timing.
