PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the writing speed with a working memory of minimized capacity by managing the address space of a nonvolatile memory while dividing into a plurality of groups. SOLUTION: This storage device comprises the nonvolatile memory for writing data with a physical address as minimum writing unit by use of a file allocation table or a logic address/physical address conversion table, the nonvolatile memory having data recording areas divided into a plurality of areas, and each area having a physical address group having a plurality of physical addresses; a first non-recorded physical address table having information for whether each address group is a physical address group having at least one non-recorded physical address (referred to as "non-recorded physical address group") or not; and a second non-recorded physical address table having information for whether each physical address belonging to one non-recorded physical address group is a non-recorded physical address or not.
