PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transport robot which transports important articles easily and safely, while guards are keep full strict watch over the surroundings. SOLUTION: The transport robot, which is provided with an important article storage shed and tracks a transporter, is provided. In addition, the robot is provided with an authenticating means for authenticating the operator, a pursuing part which travels to pursue the operator and a storage shed control part, which controls the important article storage shed so that the important articles are taken out when the operator is authenticated at the authentication part. Such a robot enables the operator to keep full strict watch over the surroundings since the operator is not required to hold the important articles directly and also can let the robot carry the important articles, while the operator's hands not occupied.
