PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide magnetic resonance imaging equipment for imaging water and fat separation image free from banding artifact in an SSPF (Steady State Free Precession) state. SOLUTION: This equipment is provided with: an acquiring means (202) for repeating acquisition of the echo data of a plurality of views where water and fat have a phase difference of 2π/m by making a spin in an object in the SSFP state from k=0 to M-1 by assuming the difference of the phase of an RF (radio frequency) pulse to be 2π×k/M; a transformation means (204) for performing Fourier transform based on the phase difference about the echo data; a separation means (206) for separating into water data and fat data by respectively utilizing the phase difference between the water and fat about the F(0) and F(1) terms of the Fourier transform; an addition means (208') for obtaining the sum of absolute values about at least one of the water data and the fat data in the F(0) and F(1) terms; and an image generation means (210') for generating an image on the basis of the data of the sum.
