A floss holder (200) with first end including a rotatable element (250) and two tines (220,230) to hold a loop of dental floss (210) and on its second end an attachment element, which attaches to a handle (400). When the rotatable element (250) rotates by actuation of a motor, it causes the loop of floss (210) to swing back and forth with respect to the floss holder (200).
