The spray regulator (1), at the outflow from a sanitary fitting, is within the housing (6) of the spray unit, where air is mixed with water to give a spray to break down any solids. The housing is in two sections (7,8) bonded together, with the spray control immovably fixed in the inflow housing section (7), with the perforated plate (2) of the spray unit with water flow openings (3). A spray control (4) is downstream of the perforated plate. The outflow housing section (8) is of rubber or a thermoplastic elastomer, at least at the water outflows.
