The cleaning vehicle for gullies and drains has a unit to prepare clean flushing water (34) from the dirty water (1) extracted from the gullies/drains by suction. The dirty water tank (2), holding a mixture (1,8) of dirt and water, has an initial cleaning stage (6) to give a coarsely-cleaned water (20), followed by a fine cleaning stage (24). The fine cleaning stage has a filter (26), which is cleared by a scraper (29). For filter cleaning, there is a relative rotary movement between the filter and the scraper.
