SKIN CARE PREPARATION FOR EXTERNAL USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin care preparation for external use containing an active ingredient excellent in moisture retaining effect and chapped skin-improving effect, because the moisture-retaining effect and the chapped skin-improving effect of conventional skin care preparations are not necessarily sufficient and development of an active ingredient further excellent in these effects and a skin care preparation for external use containing the ingredient is desired, though skin care preparations for external use containing various active ingredients are already known.

SOLUTION: Extracts of plants belonging to the genus Stackhousiaceae are excellent in a moisture-retaining property and excellent in chapped skin-improving/preventing effects.
