<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a membrane element suitable for a use wherein a force due to vibration is added and to suppress an increase in the number of maintenance processes of a membrane unit using the membrane element. <P>SOLUTION: The membrane element 10 is constituted so that each of flat membranes 12 having micropores has holding parts 13a and 13b for mounting holders provided to the upper and lower edge parts 11a and 11b and the flat membranes 12 are provided to both sides of a support frame 11, which has a water gathering port 14 for taking out a filtrate, provided to a part thereof in a developed state and raw liquid is supplied from the outside of the flat membranes 12 to obtain a filtrate inside the flat membranes 12. The membrane unit 20 is obtained by laminating a plurality of the membrane elements 10 (101, 102, 103 and 104) through the holders mounted on at least the holding parts of the upper edge parts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
