<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a random number generation circuit which can be miniaturized without using a plurality of noise generation circuits, generates a random number independent of frequency characteristics and is capable of making unnecessary the adjustment of the appearance probability of "0" and "1". <P>SOLUTION: The random number generation circuit is provided with a counter circuit 1 for inputting a random signal RS and a clock signal CS and outputting a count value of the clock signal CS in accordance with a change of the random signal RS, and a first latch circuit 3 for latching the count value in accordance with the change of the random signal RS and outputting a random number signal RNS. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
