<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved rendering method which brings about the improvement of both memory usage and a speed in a rendering of opaque objects overlapping each other. <P>SOLUTION: In this method 500, an array for representing graphical objects 203, 204 and 205 of an image 200 is formed. This array is sorted in an order from a top-most graphical object to a bottom-most graphical object. When the top-most contributing object is fully opaque, data associated with the fully opaque object is represented in a halftone manner so that a run of pixels can be generated.
