PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of quickly restoring air conditioning operation when a heat source unit of a refrigerant circuit fails. SOLUTION: The air conditioner has the heat source units 1a, 1b, and 1c, and one or a plurality of indoor units 2a, 2b, and 2c composing the refrigerant circuit along with the heat source units. It is provided with an auxiliary heat source unit 8, and switching means 4a, 4b, 4c, 5a, 5b, 5c, or 10a, 10b, and 10c capable of selectively switching between the heat source units and the auxiliary heat source unit and connecting them to the refrigerant circuit.
