<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasification plant operation support device for a gasification plant reliably transferring information between an operator inside the plant and a central control device, securing safety of the operator inside the plant, and grasping field information that cannot be controlled by the central control device. <P>SOLUTION: A portable terminal 22 inside the plant 2 detects the position of an operator having the portable terminal 22 and transmits positional information to a communication part 3. The central control device 1 shows the operator a condition inside the plant 2, operation information, dangerous area information, dangerous operation information, abnormal job information and escape path information suitable to the position. The portable terminal 22 transmits the field information inside the plant 2 and biological information of the operator that cannot be controlled by the central control device 1 to the central control device via the communication part 3.
