PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device which can record high quality images by adjusting an angle defined between a recording element array and a scanning direction at a recording head to be optimum when the angle shifts due to a mounting position deviation of the recording head to a carriage. SOLUTION: A positional relation between the carriage M4001 on which the recording head H1001 can be loaded, and a carriage shaft M4012 for guiding the carriage M4001 to be movable in the scanning direction is adjusted in accordance with a rotation position of a carriage bearing M4029.
