PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a DC motor by reducing the length in axial direction, and to make its assembly easier. SOLUTION: An armature coil is wound around a coil bobbin, and a connection terminal is attached to the armature coil. The coil bobbin around which the armature coil is wound is engaged and fixed with a salient pole of an armature core fitted to a rotating shaft, while the connection terminal pinches a connection hook of a commutator for the connection terminal to connect and fit to the connection hook. Although a coil mold member is used for winding the armature coil, the coil mold member is not required to be inserted as far as an inner end position of the salient pole. So, the commutator can be close to the armature core for reduced size, while connecting/fitting of the connection terminal to the connection hook part is easier. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
