PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable effective exchange of information on a change of a design or the like among a plurality of client devices, each equipped with CAD software. SOLUTION: Information on explanatory notes created on a display of a CAD file of a random client is transmitted to a server A in a communications system in which a plurality of clients B, C, D, etc. each equipped with CAD software are connected to the server A to manage information through a network. The information on explanatory notes contains contents of the explanatory notes, a position coordinate of the explanatory notes, a position coordinate to be indicated by the explanatory notes. The information on the explanatory notes sent to the server A is stored and, at the same time, is sent to the destination client.
