PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail transmission program, etc., capable of distributing an attached file only to specific members of a mailing list without taking much work while maintaining sharing of information among the members of the mailing list. SOLUTION: In performing mail transmission using mailing list service, a transmitter specifies addresses to which the attached file is to be distributed or addresses to which the attached file is not to be distributed. A mailing list server transmits, according to the specification, mail with the attached file to the addresses to which file distribution is instructed and transmits a mail without the attached file to the addresses to which the file distribution is not instructed.
