PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tide embankment/breakwater capable of swiftly closing a waterway and preventing water inflow and waves. SOLUTION: The tide embankment/breakwater is provided with a pair of fixing foundations 12R, 12L holding a waterway therebetween and a film structure 11 laid between the fixing foundations 12R, 12L. The membrane structure 11 is provided with a film body 14 closing the waterway and connection bodies 16 provided at both ends of the film body 14. Each fixing foundation 12R, 12L has an opening accepting the connection body 16 and a vertically extending guide groove 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
