PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and secure needle clamp device of a sewing machine capable of easily changing, attaching, and detaching a needle without using a tool such as a screw driver. SOLUTION: The operation of the needle clamp is easy since the attaching/detaching of the needle is operated only by the upward/downward operation of an operation lever, and the operation lever can be formed long since a hinge is attached to the operation lever to make it foldable. Further, the needle can be firmly attached with a strong pressing force, and the operation lever does not hinder the sewing operation as the operation lever is stored along a needle clamp body when the hinge is closed.
