Transmission casing (10) comprises at least one oil outlet opening (13) from an oil sump (11). The oil outlet opening is sealed by a device (27) regulating the oil volume in the transmission casing. The device specifies in a first working position the height of an oil level (12) in the region of an upper opening (23). In a second working position of the device a first oil discharge opening (25) arranged below the upper opening for emptying the oil volume is released. In the first and the second working position oil is discharged from the oil sump through a common oil outlet opening. In the second working position a second oil discharge opening (200) arranged between the first oil discharge opening and the bottom (201) of the transmission casing is released.
