<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system effective for a DSRC system by reducing communication error caused by multipath fading, and the like, and by simplifying the arrangement of a terminal station. <P>SOLUTION: A base station 1 is provided with: a transmission end equalizer 12 for equalizing a transmission signal; a receiving end equalizer 13 for equalizing a receiving signal; a section 18 for storing a plurality of equalization parameters optimal for previously assumed different propagation characteristics of a signal propagation path; an equalizer control section 17 for selecting the stored equalization parameters sequentially and setting it to the transmission end equalizer 12 and the receiving end equalizer 13 while switching; and a section 11 for controlling the setting operation of the equalizer control section 17. The equalization signal is transmitted from the base station 1 and a receiving signal is taken in while being equalized. When a response signal from a vehicle mounted unit 2 is received, a decision is made that an optimal parameter has been set and communication is carried out while fixing the parameter thus set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
