<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road marking device which can switch a road marking between a state of being properly and visually recognized from the outside and a state of being visually unrecognizable from the outside. <P>SOLUTION: This road marking device is equipped with a housing 30 which is buried in a road so that a top surface can be exposed on a road surface, a light-emitting part 31 which is arranged inside the housing 30, a light diffusion plate 43 which diffuses light emitted by the light-emitting part 31 so as to planarly emit the light, a translucent panel 42 which is arranged directly above the plate 43, and a clear panel 41 which is fitted into the top surface of the housing 30. Since the translucent panel 42 is colored with the same color as or a color similar to that of the surface of the road, the plate 43 planarly emits the light in a state that the light-emitting part 31 is lit up, so that the whole of the clear panel 41 can be clearly and visually recognized from the outside, and the light-emitting part 31 is concealed by the translucent panel 42 in a state that the light of the light-emitting part 31 is extinguished, so that the road marking cannot be seen from the outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
