<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of inputting a three-dimensional form that enables a stable process even if the moving direction of a camera and the direction of a visual line change. <P>SOLUTION: In an image input step 31, images are taken as the camera is translated. In an image accumulation step 32, a series of images taken in the image input step 31 are stored in memory for each frame to form a time-space image. In a stable characteristic point extraction step 33, stably traceable characteristic points, such as edge angles, are traced using a known method. In an image deflection estimation step 34 and a step 35 for correcting images for image distortions A(t)∼E(t), the input images are deformed using f<SB>new</SB>(x, y:t) = f(x + D<SB>xs</SB>(x, y), y + D<SB>ys</SB>(x, y):t). In a three-dimensional form extraction step 36, using a known method, the three-dimensional form is extracted by using a corrected time T<SB>j</SB>calculated in a corrected time estimation step 13, and analyzing an epipolar image obtained by slicing of the time-space image in the surface direction of a scan line y = y<SB>0</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
