PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) thermistor type heat generation device which can be mounted easily on a portion having little space by its thickness and its excellence in flexibility, and can be so adhered to a heated portion as to improve largely its heating efficiency, and for example, can be used favorably as a heating source for heating the handle grip of a motor-bicycle and a snow mobile, etc. SOLUTION: The PTC thermistor type heat generation device 1 comprises a plurality of PTC thermistor elements 2 arranged at a predetermined space in a planar direction each of which has its formed electrodes on both its principal surfaces parallel with the planar direction, a pair of power feeding terminals 3 for sandwiching thermistor elements 2, each electrically insulating buffer member 4 interposed between the two PTC thermistor elements 2, and an insulator 5 for storing the PTC thermistor elements 2, the power feeding terminals 3, and the electrically insulating buffer members 4.
