PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient auxiliary resonance type DC-DC converter capable of realizing size and cost reductions. SOLUTION: In this step-down DC-DC converter 15, comprising two main switches 1, 2 connected between input terminals 11, 12 and a smoothing reactor Lo, connected between a junction M of the main switches 1, 2 and an output terminal 14, an auxiliary resonance circuit 10 connected with a resonance reactor Lr and an auxiliary switch 3 in series to each other, is provided between the junction M and the output terminal 14, and resonance capacitors C1, C2 are provided in parallel with the respective main switches 1, 2. When the main switch 1 is turned on by turning off the main switch 2, the auxiliary switch 3 is turned on, so that electrical energy is fed from the output terminal 14 to a resonance reactor Lr.
