PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain improved material without generating secondary pollution by installing sludge dehydration equipment which can obtain high dehydration rate in the dehydration and solidification of dredge sludge in a compact installation space. SOLUTION: This apparatus is made by installing dehydration equipment, solidification equipment, and wastewater treatment equipment on a pontoon 1. In a dehydration process, vertical screw centrifugal separators 3, 4 are disposed in series. Sludge is supplied from a raw water tank 2 to the primary vertical screw centrifugal separator 3. Primary sludge discharged from the primary vertical screw centrifugal separator 3 is supplied to the secondary vertical screw centrifugal separator 4 to obtain secondary sludge having a low water content. The secondary sludge is fed to a solidification process. In the solidification process, a solidification agent is added to the secondary sludge in a kneader 6, the sludge and the agent are agitated and mixed, and then molded into a pellet, etc. in a molding machine 7 to produce the improve material. Discharged water from the primary and secondary vertical screw centrifugal separators is supplied to a wastewater treatment process. In the wastewater treatment process, waste liquid is treated in a filter 10 through a waste liquid tank 7, a settling tank 8, and a supernatant liquid tank 9 to be discharged. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
