PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of suppressing squeaking caused by tilting of a guide body inside a supporting hole and reducing the moving load in the initial period of movement of a rack bar in the axial direction. SOLUTION: The steering device is equipped with the rack bar 2 tying to a steering means through a pinion and movable in the axial direction in compliance with the operation of the steering means, the guide body 4 having a guide groove 41 to guide the movement of the rack bar 2, and a support 3 having a supporting hole 33 to support the guide body 4, wherein the peripheral surface of the guide body 4 is formed circular while the peripheral surface of the supporting hole 33 is made non-circular so as to be able to move the guide body 4 in the axial direction of the rack bar 2 inside the supporting hole 33, and the guide body 4 is arranged movable in a single piece with the rack bar 2 in the initial period of the rack bar movement in the axial direction.
