PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor monitoring apparatus capable of preventing involuntary indoor monitoring from the outside of a house when being at home. SOLUTION: An indoor system 1i comprises an indoor network 1b, a still image transmission slave 1a capable of transmitting an imaged image to the indoor network 1b, and an at-home or absence mode setting section 1d for disabling a setting change from the outside of the house. Additionally, the indoor system 1i has a still image transmission gateway 1c that controls the still image transmission slave 1a and transmits and receives control data, and transmits the still image data of a specified still image transmission slave to a provider server 1f when a mode set by the at-home or absence mode setting section 1d is an absence mode.
