PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a display unit having a built-in speaker, and method threfor, capable of rigidly controlling a pressurization amount applied to an exciter or a cushion layer, and eliminating dust and waste from the vibration space. SOLUTION: A transparent panel 1 and an internal decorative panel 4 are respectively secured on a holding mechanism 6b of a top plate 6 and an internal decorative panel holding stand 9. The exciter is pasted on an exciter mounting area 4b of the internal decorative panel via a sponge for the exciter using an adhesive agent, and a sponge for the transparent panel is also pasted on the periphery of the internal decorative panel. Next, after the adhesive agent is attached on the exposed surfaces of both the exciter and the sponge for the transparent panel, the top plate is rotated in the direction shown by an arrow A, so as to connect lock parts 6c, 7c. Thereafter, air is injected from an air cylinder 10. By adjusting an air injection amount from the air cylinder, the pressure amount applied to the exciter and the cushion layer is rigidly controlled.
