PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network device that is suitable to inspect and examine a frame flowing on a network. SOLUTION: This network device is provided with a partial frame extracting means 11 for extracting a partial frame stored within a range set optionally in a frame received by one port of a plurality of ports, and a frame selecting means 12 for collating the extracted partial frame with an optionally set reference frame and selecting a received frame wherein the partial frame coincides with the reference frame.
