PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor which makes screen display possible during bootstrap or resume by providing a nonvolatile VRAM. SOLUTION: The information processor is provided with a first video memory area (132) which stores image data to be generated by normal processing, a second nonvolatile video memory area (134) which stores another piece of image data, selection means (136, S212, S224, S306, S316) which select one of the first and second memory areas and display an image indicating another piece of image data in the selected video memory area, and rewriting means (110, S342) which rewrites the image data in the second video memory area.
