PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology associated with a file protection system for enabling each manager to defend a file to be protected in a clarified management range from any illegal access according to a unique policy when there are a plurality of managers having independent authorities and policies. SOLUTION: This file protection system associated with a form of embodiment as shown in the figure is roughly made up of a standard file protection means 130, an extended file protection means 700, a standard interface 110 and an extended access control tool 500. The standard file protection means 130 is provided with standard security policy information 140, and the extended file protection means 700 is provided with extended security policy information 710. The standard interface 110 is provided with a hook information table 120T, and the extended access control tool 500 serves as the one and only means for controlling the extended file protection means 700, and for applying information to the security policy information 710.
