BOLOMETER DETECTOR HAVING ANTENNA EQUIPPED WITH SWITCH AND IMAGING SYSTEM EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bolometer detector based on antenna which has a small, reliable and vibrationless modulation means and can modulate wave so that low frequency noise may be limited. SOLUTION: The bolometer detector is provided with at least one receiver antenna (2) designed to collect electromagnetic wave. The antenna (2) is extended by resistive load (3) converting electric power of electromagnetic wave to heat. The resistive load (3) contacts a temperature measuring element (4) detecting temperature rise concerning the generated heat. The switch (6) arranged between the antenna (2) and the resistive load (3) modulates current flowing between the antenna (2) and the resistive load with a control means. The switch (6) may be a micro device provided with, for example, bimetal effect heat actuators. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
