PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desulfurization agent capable of performing a desulfurization reaction efficiently by improving the lime-base desulfurization agent so as to be easily entered into molten iron. SOLUTION: This lime-base desulfurization agent is the one, in which SiC particles or graphite particles are stuck on the whole or a part of the surface of the lime particles as the main component, and it is desirable to be the average particle diameter at 100-150μm lime particle and 5-10μm SiC particle or graphite particle.
