<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a peak suppressor which can suppress peak power and further can reduce out-of-band radiation. <P>SOLUTION: The peak suppressor includes a target value generation part 22 for setting a target value as a predetermined threshold when an envelope level of an input signal exceeds the threshold and setting the target value as the envelope level when the envelope level is at the threshold or lower; a multiplier 23 and a moving average part 24 for moving-averaging multiplication results of the envelope level and the target value; a squaring device 25 and a moving average part 26 for moving-averaging the squared results of the envelope level; a divider 27 for calculating a gain for an input signal by dividing the moving average results of the averaging part 24 by the moving average results of the averaging part 26; and a multiplier 29 for suppressing peak voltage of the input signal exceeding the threshold by using the gain. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
