<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the so-called "compression type electrical connector" of low manufacturing cost, in which no abnormal voltage or signal is transmitted at connection. <P>SOLUTION: An insulating housing 5 is assembled with first and second terminals 6 and 7. The first and second terminals 6 and 7 are made of a sheet metal having common specifications. When the first and second terminals 6 and 7 are assembled in corresponding first and second terminal holding holes 16 of the housing 5, a contact part 25 of the second terminal 7 is higher than the contact part 25 of the first terminal 6 by a prescribed amount (for example, 0.3mm).
