TAP CHANGER OF MOLDED TRANSFORMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tap changer of a molded transformer which is of a novel structure and allows reduction in the size and weight of equipment. SOLUTION: The molded transformer is provided with coil legs 4a to 4c formed by covering the periphery of winding 1 with a resin layer 8; pulling out a plurality of tap wires 2a to 2e from the winding end of the wiring at a predetermined number of turns according to tap voltage; and placing a plurality of tap terminals 3a to 3e in front of the resin layer 8 covering the periphery of the winding and connecting the tap wires 2a to 2e. A cut portion 9 where the resin layer is thinned is formed in the resin layer front portion of the coil legs where the tap terminals 3a to 3e are disposed, other than the portion where the tap terminals 3a to 3e are disposed. Thus, the weight of the resin layer is reduced, and furthermore the size and weight of a molded transformer are reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
