PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost, high-output and highly reliable laser apparatus for multiplexing laser beams emitted from a plurality of semiconductor laser elements in a multi-mode optical fiber. SOLUTION: Sixteen pieces of multiplexing lasers F1 to F16 each consisting of 7 pieces of chip-state lateral single mode single cavity GaN semiconductor lasers LD1 to LD7 fixedly arrayed on a heat block 8 made of copper or a copper alloy, a collimator lens 11, a condenser lens 12, and a piece of multi-mode optical fibers 15 are arranged in a container 30 having a gas inlet 37 and gas outlet 38 with a light emitting end of the optical fiber 15 led out of the container 30, and the container 30 is connected to a gas circulation device provided with a filter 41 for removing pollution substances from the gas inlet 37 and the gas outlet 38, and a valve 43 for adjusting replenishment of an inert gas from a cylinder 44 and a rotary pump 42 for circulating the inert gas.
