PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail data sharing system from which data transfer work is eliminated and in which a large quantity of mail data can be used between a plurality of terminal equipment in a shared state. SOLUTION: A personal computer 1 or portable telephone 5 stores transmitted and received mail data on a memory card 2 after converting the format of the data into the CSV (comma separated value) format by means of format converting means (mailers 4 and 4'). Consequently, the memory card 2 holds mail data commonly used by the computer 1 and telephone 5. The computer 1 receives CSV format mail data corresponding to its acquisition request from the card 2 via a USB 3 and owns the data jointly with the portable telephone 5 by displaying the data after converting the format of the data into a usable data format. The telephone 5 can also own the mail data jointly with the computer 1 when the telephone 5 fetches the data from the card 2 through the USB 3 (universal serial bus) and a conversion adaptor 6 in the same method and causes the data to be displayed.
