PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cantilever snow resistant carport which achieves stability without a fear of toppling due to the load of snow peculiar to a heavy snow district, through a dry construction method, does not hinder the entrance/exit of a vehicle, is fitted for the heavy snow district, and exerts excellent durability by bearing the stress of a snow load concentrating on a joint portion between a seat and a pole of the carport. SOLUTION: The cantilever snow resistant carport has the mounted-type metal seat 3 under a carport body A for preventing the carport body A from toppling when snow accumulates on a roof, to thereby ensure a self-supported state. The mounted-type metal seat 3 is positioned in a groove H excavated in the ground, and the earth is backfilled to embed the mounted-type metal seat 3 in the ground. The seat 3 is formed like a frame having a minimum area slightly smaller than the area of the roof 2, and the pole 1 is fitted to a reinforcing pipe 5 erected from the seat 3, and the height of the erected reinforcing pipe 5 is set to a predetermined height above a height portion at which the stress of the snow on the roof concentrates. In this manner, the pole 1 and the reinforcing pipe 5 form a stress-resistant reinforcing portion 7 to withstand the snow. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
