PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antitumor agent which belongs to a type exerting anticancer effect by acting on gankyrin and suppressing its activity. SOLUTION: The anticancer agent for high level expression cancer by gankyrin (PSMD10 or p28, ganankyrin-repeated protein) comprises MAGE-A4 (a melanoma antigen) related protein containing (a) an amino acid sequence specified in sequence No:1, (b) an amino acid sequence comprising a part of the amino acid sequence specified in sequence No;1 at least comprising an amino acid sequence of the amino acid No 227 to 317, or (c) an amino acid sequence formed by modifying the amino acid sequence of the prescribed amino acid sequence (a) or (b) by deletion, addition, or substitution by other amino acids of one or more amino acids and maintains affinity to the gankyrin.
