PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent a user from pulling out a headrest to meet the demand for safety. SOLUTION: In this fitting structure of a headrest, a cylindrical stay holder 27 is provided on the upper part of a seat back 21, and a stay 32 of the headrest 30 is slidably inserted in the stay holder 27. A vertical groove 34 with a designated length is provided in the longitudinal direction of the stay 32 in the outer periphery of the stay 32, and the tip part 36a of a screw 36 threaded in and passed from the outer periphery of the stay holder 27 to the inner periphery is located in the vertical groove 34, whereby even if the headrest 30 is pulled out, the tip part 36b of the screw 36 abuts on the lower end part 34b of the vertical groove 34 so that the headrest 30 cannot be detached from the seat back 21.
