<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the cell incorporation type artificial skin which together has the true skin, the epidermis and the true skin layer for regenerating skin tissue on an acute appelous wound such as ambustion, injury or the like and a chronic appelous wound such as a bedsore, an ulcer or the like, and does not shrink and has excellent shape retention at the time of adaptation to the human body. <P>SOLUTION: This artificial skin comprises a bioabsorbable porous substrate made of a artificial skin material and containing a shape retaining material.
