<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing colored substances from the ethylene glycol decomposition product solution of a polyester, comprising bringing the decomposition product solution into contact with activated carbon to adsorb the colored substances to the activated carbon, in which the activity of the activated carbon layer can environmentally friendly be maintained by an effective means for a longer period than by conventional methods and the quality of the decomposition product solution after the adsorption treatment can more be improved than by the conventional methods. <P>SOLUTION: The above method is provided for removing the colored substances from the ethylene glycol decomposition product solution of the polyester, comprising bringing the decomposition product solution into contact with the activated carbon to adsorb the colored substances to the activated carbon, by which the activity of the activated carbon layer can environmentally friendly be maintained by the effective means for a longer period than by the conventional methods, and the quality of the decomposition product solution after the adsorption treatment can more be enhanced than by the conventional methods. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
